Southview community garden plots
Ready to grow something delicious in 2021? The Southview community garden is open for new plot applications. This opportunity is available to Wrenford residents who wish to cultivate vegetables, herbs, or flowers in our shared green space.
Application Period
Applications are accepted from March 1 to March 31, 2021. We encourage you to submit your form early, as plots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Late applications will not be considered for the 2021 season.
Plot Fees
The fee for a standard plot is $25.00. This fee covers the use of the plot for the full growing season, from May 1 to October 31, 2021. Payment must be made online or by mail with your application. We do not accept cash payments by post.
Eligibility and Rules
You must be a Wrenford resident to apply. Each household is limited to one plot. You are responsible for maintaining your plot, including weeding, watering, and harvesting. Please read Learn about park bylaws and rules for full guidelines on garden conduct.
What to Include
When you apply, please provide your full name, address, and phone number. You may also indicate if you have any accessibility needs so we can assist you with plot placement. If you are new to gardening, we recommend starting with easy-to-grow crops like lettuce, radishes, or tomatoes.
Getting Started
Once your application is approved, you will receive an email with your plot number and a map. Bring your tools and seeds to the garden entrance on May 1. Water access is available at the north end of the garden. Please do not bring large machinery or power tools to the site.
