Tamsin River Trail System

The Tamsin River Trail System is the heart of Wrenford's trail network. Spanning 64 kilometres of paved and gravel paths, it winds through the city centre and out to the edges. You can access the main route at three trailheads: Riverside Flats Park, Ambrel Lake Park, and Benchlands Lookout Park. The path follows the Tamsin River and Corvid Creek, offering quiet stretches away from traffic.

Neighbourhood Park Pathways

Beyond the river, the City maintains shorter loop pathways in our neighbourhood parks. These routes are perfect for a quick walk, a leisurely bike ride, or walking the dog. You will find them at Centennial Gardens, Ambrel Lake Park, and Riverside Flats Park. You can also explore the Corvid Creek Ravine Natural Area for a quiet walk through a protected environment.

Trail Etiquette and Safety

Please keep to the right on shared paths so walkers and cyclists can pass safely. Use a bell or your voice to signal pedestrians when you are riding. Keep dogs on a six-metre leash outside of designated off-leash areas. Quiet hours begin at 9:00 p.m. to respect nearby residents.

Winter Use

From November to March, the City clears snow from selected trails for walking and running. We do not use chemical ice melts, so all clearing is done by machine. Natural surfaces may be closed during heavy snow or flooding along the river. Check the Parks & Trails page for the latest snow clearing map.

Report a Problem

If you see a broken pathway, a downed tree, or a blocked trail, please report it online. You can also call Civic Operations at 519-555-0112.
