Ashgrove Park Lighting Upgrade
As part of the City’s ongoing commitment to public safety and energy efficiency, the City of Wrenford is pleased to announce the installation of new LED lighting fixtures at Ashgrove Park. This project, approved in early 2019, aims to improve visibility for evening visitors, enhance security, and reduce municipal energy costs.
The upgrade involves replacing existing sodium-vapor lamps with modern, high-efficiency LED luminaires. These new fixtures provide brighter, more uniform illumination across walking paths, playground areas, and parking lots. The change also reduces light pollution and glare, ensuring that the light is directed where it is needed most.
Project Timeline
Construction is scheduled to begin on April 15, 2019. The City expects the installation to be completed by June 30, 2019. During the installation period, certain sections of the park may experience temporary closures or restricted access. Workers will be present during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Residents are asked to exercise caution in the area during construction. Please keep children and pets away from work zones. For more information on park safety and rules, please Learn about park bylaws and rules.
