Rules and safety

Outdoor rinks rely on natural ice and weather conditions. Please keep these rules in mind:

  • Weather closures: The rink closes automatically if the City declares an extreme cold weather alert, or if rain or sleet threatens the ice surface. You will be notified by email as soon as possible.
  • Supervision: You are responsible for supervising all participants. The City does not provide ice monitors or lifeguards for private bookings.
  • Prohibited items: No glass containers, open flames, or commercial food sales are allowed on the ice.
  • Equipment: All skates, nets, and signage must be removed before you leave. Leave the ice flat and clear for the next user.
  • Emergency access: Keep all snow and ice cleared from the rink perimeter and access paths at all times.
