Report a problem
Keeping our streets and sidewalks in good shape helps everyone get around safely. Whether you have spotted a pothole, a cracked sidewalk, or a loose streetlight, let us know and we will get it sorted.
Report a problem using the online Service Wrenford portal. The form is the fastest way to send us a request with a photo. You can also call Wrenford 311 or 519-555-0100. Our team is available Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on weekends and holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Please have the exact street address or nearest cross-street ready. If you are reporting a sidewalk or pothole, note the side of the street and the direction of travel so our crews can find it quickly.
How we prioritize repairs
Our roads and winter maintenance crews inspect every report and rank them on a scale from one to five. We look at the size of the damage, how deep the pothole is, and how much traffic passes by.
- High priority (priority one and two): Repaired within five business days. This covers deep potholes in busy lanes and major sidewalk trips.
- Medium priority (priority three): Repaired within one to two months.
- Low priority (priority four and five): Repaired when crew capacity allows, often during scheduled neighbourhood renewals.
Timelines depend on the weather, equipment availability, and how many reports we receive. During heavy rain or a freeze-thaw spring, we may see a spike in requests, but we work through them as quickly as possible.
Sidewalk and streetlight issues
Cracked or buckled sidewalks can cause tripping hazards. If you see a trip hazard of four centimetres or more, tell us through the Service Wrenford portal. We will send a city planner to measure it and schedule a repair. It usually takes two to three weeks for a sidewalk repair crew to arrive in your neighbourhood after the inspection.
For streetlight issues, such as a flickering or dark pole, please use the same online form. We track these in our Parking Lot Maintenance Tracking System and will email you a tracking number once your report is accepted.
Snow and ice
During the winter, cleared sidewalks are your responsibility. If a sidewalk is blocked by snow or ice that your property owner should clear, you can report it using the online form. Our by-law enforcement team will leave a yellow notice tag on your door as a reminder. If you need help, contact your neighbour or a local service.
What happens next
Once you submit a request, you will receive a confirmation email with a file number. You can check the status of your report on the Service Wrenford portal. When a crew is scheduled to fix the issue, you may see our trucks or equipment in your area. We appreciate your patience while we work to keep Wrenford moving safely.
