Do not park at a broken meter
If a parking meter or pay station is not working, do not park there. You will still receive a parking ticket under the Community Standards By-law 2023-099. Please report the issue so we can send a maintenance crew.
How to report a broken meter
You can report a faulty meter using any of these methods:
- Online: Use the form.
- By phone: Call 519-555-0100 and select the By-law Enforcement option.
- By email: Send details to [email protected].
What information to provide
To help our team locate and fix the meter quickly, please include the following details:
- Street location: The exact street and nearest cross street.
- Meter number: Every meter has a unique ID. Coin-operated meters have a two-digit number. Pay-by-plate and solar pay stations have a five-digit number starting with P (e.g., P1042).
- Your licence plate number: This helps us verify your account if you need a ticket adjustment later.
- Description of the issue: Check the box that matches the problem, such as a black screen, stuck credit card, missing receipt, or coin jam.
- Photos: If possible, take a picture of the meter showing the error or the meter number.
Types of parking meters in Wrenford
Our downtown and neighbourhood pay stations come in three main types:
- Coin-operated meters: Accept quarters only. Display time remaining on a digital screen.
- Pay-by-plate meters: Accept credit cards and debit cards. Enter your licence plate number to pay.
- Solar-powered pay stations: Located near Centennial Gardens and the downtown core. Accept cards and mobile payments.
Pay for parking while we fix the meter
While the meter is being repaired, you can use the Wrenford ParkPay mobile application to pay for on-street parking. You can also park at the nearest working meter or pay station. Make sure to display your parking receipt or show the app screen on your dashboard as instructed on the nearby sign.
