What you can do

Find your zone, pay for parking, and follow local rules to keep downtown and neighbourhood spaces available for everyone. Wrenford uses a simple three-zone system to manage on-street parking turnover.

How to pay

Pay only for the time you need. You can use the Wrenford Parking app, pay by phone, or use prepaid vouchers.

  • Download the Wrenford Parking app for your phone.
  • Enter the location number on the sign or meter bag.
  • Add your vehicle details and set your time limit.
  • Confirm your payment. A small transaction fee applies.

If you do not have a smartphone, you can pay by phone or buy prepaid vouchers at Wrenford City Hall. Vouchers are sold in packs and each one covers one hour of parking.

Zone rates and time limits

Each zone has a different hourly rate and time limit based on local demand.

Zone A: Downtown core

Zone A covers the heart of downtown, including Mercer and Tamsin Streets. This area has the highest parking demand. The hourly rate is $2.50 and the time limit is two hours to ensure spaces turn over quickly for shoppers and diners.

Zone B: Fallsview and Market Square

Zone B includes the Fallsview district and Market Square. This is a central commercial and event hub. The hourly rate is $1.50 and the time limit is three hours, allowing visitors to stay for longer appointments or events.

Zone C: Neighbourhood commercial

Zone C covers local shopping areas across the city. These zones have lower turnover demands. The hourly rate is $1.00 and the time limit is four hours, making it easier for residents and local visitors to run errands.

Rules and enforcement

Time limits are in place to support parking turnover and keep spaces available for everyone. Check posted signs, meter bags, or the app to see the limit for your spot. If you need to stay longer, move your vehicle to a different block or zone and start a new session. There is a 25-cent fee per transaction when using the app or phone service.

On-street parking is free weekday evenings after 5:00 p.m., all day Saturdays, Sundays, and statutory holidays. Regulations, including posted restrictions, apply 24 hours a day unless otherwise signed. All parking is enforced under the Traffic and Parking By-law 2014-075. Parking enforcement officers monitor zones throughout the day to ensure compliance.

Residents living in Zone A or Zone B can apply for a Residential Parking Permit. This allows you to park on the street near your home without a time limit during paid hours. You must display the permit clearly on your vehicle dashboard. Visit the Parking page to see eligibility and apply.
