Wildrye Splash Pad opens to public for summer 2026

The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce that the Wildrye Splash Pad at Wildrye Park is now open for the summer season. Located at 90 Wildrye Drive in the Wildrye neighbourhood, this free splash pad gives you and your family a safe place to cool off as temperatures rise.

You can visit the splash pad seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., weather permitting. You must supervise children at all times. We recommend you bring sunscreen, hats, and water, because shade is limited in the immediate play area.

"We are excited to see the Wildrye neighbourhood come alive this summer," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "This splash pad is just one of the ways we are investing in accessible, free recreation spaces for our residents."

As the City shifts from winter operations to summer maintenance, staff are making sure all pathways and parking areas around the splash pad are clear and safe. You can review our seasonal clearing schedules on the Snow clearing and sidewalk plowing page. If you see cracks or uneven pavement, please report a sidewalk issue through our online portal. You can also find parking and street access rules on the Roads & Winter Maintenance page, which covers both summer parking regulations and the Winter Maintenance and Parking By-law.

Please keep in mind that the splash pad surface can get very hot in direct sunlight. You should always check the ground temperature before letting children play. The City inspects all splash pads regularly to test water quality and check equipment, so you can be sure the area is safe.
