Wildrye Splash Pad opens to the public July 8

Summer is here, and the City of Wrenford is opening the new splash pad at Wildrye Park on July 8. Families in the Wildrye neighbourhood now have a free, water-filled play space to beat the heat.

The Wildrye Splash Pad is located at Wildrye Park, 90 Wildrye Drive. It will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., weather permitting, for the rest of the summer season. Like all city splash pads, it is free to use and does not require a recreation pass.

Maya Chen-Watson, Parks Planner, said: "This is the first splash pad in the Wildrye neighbourhood, and we are thrilled to offer a safe, free place for kids to play and cool off. We want every family to have access to a refreshing summer activity."

Parents and guardians are asked to supervise children at all times while at the splash pad. We encourage you to bring sunscreen, wear water shoes, and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated in the sun. Please keep pets on a leash outside the splash pad area and pick up after them.

If you notice a broken spray nozzle, a leak, or any other issue at the splash pad, please let us know. You can report a park maintenance issue online or call 519-555-0100.
