Starting this week, the Wrenford Transit shelter advertising program is expanding to include a new shelter outside the Northgate Aquatic Centre. The shelter features solar-powered lighting, a digital real-time arrival display, and advertising panels for local businesses.
The program was launched earlier this year in the downtown core and is now rolling out to high-traffic recreational stops. The new shelter provides weather protection for riders and connects directly to the Wrenford Transit app for live trip updates. You can also use the shelter's dedicated area to book Wrenford Access trips.
"We want every rider to have a comfortable and reliable place to wait, whether they are heading to work or catching a game at the aquatic centre," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "The advertising program helps offset the cost of these upgrades while giving local businesses a visible way to reach our community."
Local businesses can reserve advertising space through the Business section. The new shelter is part of the broader Transit network improvements project, which aims to upgrade stops across the city with better seating, lighting, and real-time information. You can view the full stop upgrade list on the Transit page.
You can use the Wrenford Transit app to check real-time arrivals at the new shelter. For more information on transit stops, schedules, and the full shelter advertising program, visit the Transit section of the City website.
