The City of Wrenford is now accepting booking applications for outdoor sports fields and indoor arena floors for the spring and summer seasons. Residents, community groups, and sports leagues can start securing their spots at parks and recreation centres across the city.
Green spaces are opening up as the snow melts. Bookings are available for grass fields at Ambrel Lake Park, Riverside Flats Park, Benchlands Lookout Park, Centennial Gardens, and Wildrye Park. These spaces are perfect for soccer, lacrosse, and casual league play.
Indoor sports groups can also book the hardwood floors at Westbrook Community Arena and Eastfield Twin Arenas for basketball, volleyball, and badminton. All indoor facilities require a valid booking application and proof of liability insurance.
To book a field or an arena floor, visit the Book a sports field or Book an indoor arena pages online. You will need to submit a booking application, provide proof of liability insurance, and pay the applicable rental fee. Groups with a valid not-for-profit status may qualify for a discounted rate.
"We are thrilled to see our parks and arenas getting busy again," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "These spaces are the heart of our community, and we want to make sure they are accessible and well-maintained for everyone."
