The City of Wrenford is hosting the annual Seniors Information Fair on Saturday, September 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Fallsview Arts Centre, 50 Fallsview Road. The free event brings together City programs, local health partners and community groups so you can find the recreation, wellness and support services that fit your needs.
Stop by any of the more than 30 information booths to ask questions and pick up free resources. You will also find drop-in activities right inside the main hall. Try a beginner fitness class, join a gentle stretching session, or learn about the Silver Rides shuttle service. Free refreshments will be served, and there will be prizes and giveaways throughout the morning. No registration is required to attend or to take part in the activities.
"We want to make sure every older resident in Wrenford knows what is available right here in the city," says Fiona Gallagher, general manager of community services. "Whether you are looking for a new way to stay active, need help with home maintenance, or just want to meet people, this fair is a great place to start."
The fair is designed to be fully accessible. The Fallsview Arts Centre has step-free access from Market Square, and the event will feature quiet zones for those who need a break from the crowd.
