Wrenford’s Northgate Aquatic Centre at 910 Northgate Boulevard is set to open for the 2026 season on May 23. The centre features a 50-metre pool, a dive tank, and a waterslide. Regular hours run from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends. All outdoor water amenities are weather dependent and may shift if temperatures drop.
Alongside the main aquatic centre, the City is preparing Kingfisher Outdoor Pool at 15 Kingfisher Court and the Wildrye Splash Pad at 90 Wildrye Drive for the warmer months. These outdoor facilities are scheduled to open in late June, aligning with the City’s standard outdoor pool season. Splash pad hours will run from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, weather permitting.
“Our aquatic facilities are a big part of the summer for families and swimmers of all ages,” said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “We have added extra leisure swim times this year and extended the drop-in schedule so everyone can find a slot that fits their week.”
Swimming lessons, aqua fitness classes, and adapted swim programmes are available for all ages. Registration for summer programmes opens on March 1, 2027, but you can buy drop-in swim passes and single-session lesson bookings now. You can find full schedules, book lessons, and check for any service alerts on the Programs page. If you need to adjust a booking or want to request a fee reduction, the Registration dates and tips page has step-by-step guidance.
For safety and capacity limits, all guests must follow posted guidelines at the front desk. If you are visiting the splash pads, bring towels, sunscreen, and water shoes. The City’s Parks & Trails team maintains all pool filtration and spray pad plumbing to ensure clean, safe water throughout the season. If you notice a maintenance issue at any park or facility, please report it online so crews can respond quickly.
