Kingfisher Pool opens May 25 for summer swim season

Get ready to cool off. The splash pad and wading pool at Kingfisher Outdoor Pool open May 25 for the summer swim season. Full lap and leisure pool operations will begin late June, right on schedule.

Located at 15 Kingfisher Court, the facility is a favourite spot for families in the Kingfisher neighbourhood. Lifeguards will be on duty to keep everyone safe while you splash around. The wading pool is perfect for toddlers, and the spray features give older kids a chance to run through the water without getting fully wet.

"We are excited to welcome residents back to the water this summer," says Caroline Dubé, Recreation Programs Coordinator. "The splash pad is a great way to cool off while waiting for the main pool to fill up. We have plenty of room for everyone."

Registration for summer programs is already open. You can sign up for swimming lessons, day camps, and other aquatic activities through the Programs section online. If you prefer to just show up, drop-in public swims and public swim sessions are available throughout the season.

Check the schedule for exact opening times and lifeguard hours. Bring your own towels and wear your swim cap if you are taking a lesson. All visitors must shower before entering the water.
