Wrenford Transit will adjust its service schedule for the Thanksgiving long weekend. On Monday, October 12, fixed routes 1 through 14 will run on Sunday timetables. Wrenford Access will operate on a holiday schedule, running from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
City Hall and the Service Wrenford counter at 100 Mercer Street will be closed on Monday. Most residents will still see their regular garbage, Blue Box, and Green Bin collection on October 12. If your collection day falls on the holiday, crews will collect on the next business day.
Because routes run on Sunday timetables, you may notice longer wait times between buses, especially in the late morning and early afternoon. Wrenford Access trips booked for Monday must be confirmed by Friday, October 9, to allow enough time for scheduling adjustments.
"Thanksgiving is a busy time for families, and we want to make sure you can get where you need to go without stress," says Daniel Osei, Transit Manager. "We recommend checking the Sunday timetable in advance and booking your Wrenford Access trips early in the week."
If you need to travel outside of the adjusted hours, plan ahead or consider using a ride-sharing service. You can also sign up for service alerts to get real-time updates on any last-minute changes.
