The City of Wrenford is calling for a final wave of election workers to support the municipal election on Monday, October 26, 2026. The Election Office needs community volunteers to staff polling stations across the city and assist with ballot counting after the polls close.
If you want to support democracy, these paid positions are a great way to get involved. Election workers will help residents vote during advanced voting days and official count hours. You will work shifts that run from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on election day, with shorter shifts available for early voting.
You will earn between $22.00 and $34.00 per hour, depending on your role. The Presiding Election Official earns $34.00 per hour. The Alternate Presiding Election Official earns $28.50 per hour. Election Officials or Rovers earn $22.00 per hour. To qualify, you must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen, and comfortable working with the public.
Training sessions will take place at Wrenford City Hall, 100 Mercer Street, during the first two weeks of October. The City provides all materials and instructions, so you do not need any prior election experience.
"Election workers are the backbone of a smooth voting day," said City Clerk Nadia Kowalczyk. "We are looking for community-minded residents who want to play a direct role in Wrenford's democracy. It is a meaningful way to meet your neighbours and help keep our election fair and transparent."
To apply, visit the Wrenford Elections Portal and select the Employment section. Complete the online form before the final deadline on October 20, 2026. The Election Office will contact you by phone or email to confirm your assigned station and shift.
