The City of Wrenford is hiring seasonal workers to get our parks and trails ready for the spring and summer seasons. We are looking for individuals to join the Parks & Trails team for positions starting in April 2026 and running through October 2026.
Spring is a busy time in Wrenford. Crews will clear winter debris from the Tamsin River Trail System, check the boardwalks at Ambrel Lake Park, and prepare the sports fields at Centennial Gardens and Riverside Flats Park for league play. Workers will also help plant spring flowers in the downtown gardens and maintain the off-leash area at Hollis Park.
We need reliable people who enjoy working outdoors. You do not need previous landscaping experience. We will provide all the tools, safety gear, and on-the-job training you need. Positions are available for general labourers, equipment operators, and trail maintenance helpers.
Applications are open now. You can apply online through the Careers page. Please submit your application by April 7, 2026. We will contact qualified candidates for interviews in mid-April.
"Filling these seasonal roles is essential to keeping our green spaces safe and welcoming for everyone," says Maya Chen-Watson, Parks Planner. "The work helps prepare the city for the thousands of residents who will use our parks and trails all season long."
Seasonal wages start at $20.50 per hour. Workers receive a four-week paid training period before starting their regular shifts. Shifts are typically Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Check the Careers section for a full list of available roles, application guidelines, and information on our flexible work options. You can also call 519-555-0100 to speak with a member of the Human Resources team.
We encourage all residents to apply. Whether you are looking for a summer job, a career change, or a way to give back to the community, this is a great opportunity to work alongside the team that maintains the City by the Falls.
