City announces spring park rental rates for 2026

The City of Wrenford has released the updated park rental rates for spring and summer 2026. Starting March 20, 2026, residents can book shelters, fields, and pathways through the Parks & Trails team at updated fees designed to keep our green spaces safe and accessible.

The new schedule, approved under the Fees and Charges By-law 2025-151, reflects rising costs for maintenance, liability insurance, and seasonal cleanup. Standard greenspace and pathway rentals are set at $60.00 per day, while major pathway segments and larger fields are $90.00 per day. Portable washrooms remain at $120.00 per unit per day. These rates cover everything from quiet family picnics to community tournaments and cultural festivals.

“Our priority is to keep our parks affordable and well-maintained for everyone,” says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “These updated rates ensure we can continue our spring safety checks, washroom upgrades, and field repairs without reducing the programs you love.”

Bookings for spring and summer open on March 20. Residents can secure a spot online through the Parks & Trails portal or by calling the Downtown Transit Terminal at 519-555-0114. All applicants must provide proof of $2,000,000 general liability insurance, which can be arranged through the city’s approved vendor list. Permits must be submitted at least thirty days before your event date.
