The Wrenford Public Library is launching the 2025 Summer Reading Program from June 2 through August 31. The free program is open to all ages, with dedicated themes and activities for children, teens, and adults.
Each year, participants log their reading time to earn prizes, bookmarks, and recognition at the final celebration. This year’s program features a new digital reading tracker, making it easy to track progress from home or at any of our branches. Participants can visit the Main Branch, the Northgate Branch, or the Ambrel Lake Branch to pick up a physical reading log, or sign up online through our library portal.
“Summer is the perfect time to make reading a family habit,” says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “The library’s reading program brings neighbours together, builds early literacy skills, and keeps minds active while the weather warms up. We’re thrilled to see how many residents will join us this year.”
To get started, visit any branch or log in to the library’s online account by June 2. You will receive a welcome kit with a reading log and a list of suggested books. Families can also sign up for free author visits, storytelling sessions, and craft workshops held at the library branches throughout July and August. These events are included with your library card—no extra fee required.
For a full schedule of events, reading challenges, and tips on how to keep books in good shape, visit the Library section on the City website. You can also apply for a library card online or stop by any branch desk. Questions? Email the library team at [email protected] or call 519-555-0130.
