Wildrye Splash Pad opens for summer cooling fun

Summer is here, and the City of Wrenford is pleased to open the Wildrye Splash Pad for the season. Located at Wildrye Park, 90 Wildrye Drive, Wrenford, ON N4Q 6F2, this free outdoor water play area is ready for you and your family to cool off and enjoy the sunshine. The splash pad features ground-level water jets and plenty of shaded seating, making it easy for caregivers to relax while the kids play.

The splash pad is open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. until Labour Day. It is a great place for you to spend time together in the Wildrye neighbourhood.

"We know how hot it gets this time of year," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "This splash pad gives families a safe, free place to play outside and stay cool without having to travel far."

You should supervise your children at all times. We recommend bringing sunscreen, drinking plenty of water, and wearing non-slip footwear to prevent falls on the wet surfaces. Please also respect the nearby park benches and green spaces by keeping food and drinks off the grass. Glass containers and pets are not allowed in the splash pad area for safety reasons.

While your kids are playing, you can explore other summer options. Check out our swimming lessons for all ages or sign up for summer day camps if you are looking for structured activities for children aged five to twelve.
