Wrenford Transit is rolling out updated schedules for all 14 fixed routes across the city, effective Monday, May 5, 2025. These changes bring more frequent service during busy weekday hours, extended evening trips on select routes, and a refreshed weekend timetable to match the warmer weather.
Starting next week, weekday buses on Routes 1, 4, 8, and 12 will run every 12 minutes during morning and afternoon peak times, down from the previous 15-minute headway. Riders on Routes 3 and 8 will see evening service extended to 9:30 p.m., making it easier to get home after work or catch an event at the Fallsview Arts Centre. Weekday trips on all other routes will also see small frequency bumps to reduce wait times.
Weekend service will shift to a new Sunday timetable. Buses will run on an hourly schedule across the board, with slightly earlier morning departures to help shoppers and visitors reach the Downtown Transit Terminal and the city centre shops. Saturday service will keep its current two-hour frequency but will gain an extra midday run on Routes 2 and 12.
To support the ongoing Improving bus stops project, transit crews will relocate four stops along Ambrel Lake Road and Corvid Way next week. New shelters and real-time arrival signs will be installed at these locations, so please check the route maps before you travel.
All updated schedules are available online. You can view the full timetable, plan your trip, and track buses in real time using the Wrenford Transit app. The app also lets you set up trip alerts so you know exactly when your bus is coming.
"We are excited to bring more frequent service to our riders across the city," said Daniel Osei, Transit Manager. "These changes will make your daily commute easier and give everyone more flexibility as the warmer months arrive."
If you live or work near a bus route, please check the new schedule before your first trip. Service changes or temporary stop closures will be posted on the Transit disruptions and service alerts page.
