The Northgate Aquatic Centre has released its summer 2025 program schedule, with swimming lessons, family swim times, and fitness classes now available for residents.
Programming at the centre is supported by the 2025 operating budget, which directs property tax revenue toward well-maintained community facilities and inclusive recreation. Residents can see exactly how their taxes fund these services on the Budget page or by reviewing the View the current annual budget.
The facility features a 50-metre lap pool, a dive tank, and a family waterslide. Summer hours run from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends. All programs follow the City's Accessibility strategy to ensure everyone can participate.
Registration for summer programs opened on March 3, 2025, and bookings are still open. You can sign up online through Service Wrenford, by calling 519-555-0121, or in person at the centre. If you need help with fees, the City offers Recreation Fee Assistance that covers up to $250.00 per person each year.
"Our goal is to make sure every resident has a safe, welcoming place to stay active this summer," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "The approved budget allowed us to keep all our aquatic programs fully staffed and the facility running smoothly."
Swim lessons, lap passes, and family swim sessions fill the weekly schedule. Drop-in fitness classes are also available. For a full list of times and locations, visit the Programs page.
