Lights at the Falls returns to illuminate downtown for holidays

The City of Wrenford is thrilled to announce that Lights at the Falls is back for the 2025 season. This beloved holiday tradition will light up the Fallsview neighbourhood from late November through December. The annual display covers the streets around Fallsview Road and the grounds of the Fallsview Arts Centre, creating a festive atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.

The official Lighting Ceremony will take place on Friday, November 28, at 5:00 p.m. at the Fallsview Arts Centre. Attendees can enjoy a short program featuring local musicians and a live tree-lighting moment. To keep the event welcoming for everyone, we are hosting a sensory-friendly evening from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on November 28. This session will feature reduced music volume, non-flashing lights, and quiet zones for those who need a break from the crowds.

Visitors can explore themed light zones inspired by the Tamsin River and the region's winter landscapes. Along the path, you will find food trucks serving hot cocoa, roasted nuts, and local treats. We are also partnering with the Tamsin Valley Food Bank for a donation drive. Bring a non-perishable item when you visit, and help us ensure every family in Wrenford has a warm holiday meal.

"Lights at the Falls is one of our favourite ways to bring the community together as the days grow shorter," says Rosa Castellano, Events Coordinator. "We want everyone to feel the warmth of the season, whether you are taking a stroll through downtown or visiting from out of town."

Parking is available at the Downtown Transit Terminal, and the Wrenford Transit 1 and 2 routes stop nearby. Please remember to drive carefully, as the streets will be busy with evening traffic. Check the News & Events page for the full schedule and any updates.

We look forward to seeing you under the lights. For more information about seasonal programming and community events, visit the Arts & Heritage section or view the View the arts and culture plan.
