The City of Wrenford opens Kingfisher Outdoor Pool and its adjacent splash pad for the 2025 summer season on Saturday, June 21, weather permitting. The facility is located at 15 Kingfisher Court in the Kingfisher neighbourhood.
The outdoor pool will run daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. throughout the season, with extended hours on weekends and holidays. The splash pad will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily. Both areas will be closed for routine maintenance and water quality testing on Tuesday mornings.
“Summer aquatic programming is a favourite for families in our community,” said Caroline Dubé, Recreation Programs Coordinator. “We have added extra leisure swim slots this year, and the splash pad will run on a continuous loop of cool mist and jets to keep kids entertained on hot afternoons.”
Water quality is a top priority at all outdoor facilities. The City tests the pool water daily for chlorine levels and pH balance, and weekly bacteriological samples are sent to the lab for full analysis. Results are posted monthly on our water quality reports. If a boil water advisory is ever issued due to a nearby main break or testing anomaly, the pool will close immediately until the City confirms the water is safe to use again. More details on safety protocols can be found on the boil water advisory page.
