The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce the official seasonal closure of Kingfisher Outdoor Pool, effective today, October 15, 2025. Following a busy summer season along Kingfisher Court, the splash pad and main pool basin will remain closed for winter maintenance and necessary repairs.
As the outdoor pool season concludes, residents are encouraged to visit one of our year-round aquatic facilities. Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre on Benchlands Drive and Northgate Aquatic Centre on Northgate Boulevard both offer heated indoor pools, splash zones, and fitness classes throughout the winter months. You can view full schedules and booking options on the Facilities page.
City staff will begin draining the basin and conducting routine inspections of the filtration system and deck surfaces. Any necessary repairs to the piping or heating elements will be completed before the spring reopening. The pool is expected to open again in late June 2026, weather permitting.
We thank all of our visitors for a wonderful summer. For more information about Wrenford's aquatic programs, including Swim for life program and Swim abilities program, visit the Facility information and hours page or call 311.
