Hollis Park off-leash area expansion plans unveiled

The City of Wrenford is expanding the off-leash area at Hollis Park to give you and your dog more room to play. Construction starts in early May 2025 and adds a fenced section, a new agility course, and a dog wash station to the existing space at 70 Hollis Park Drive.

The current off-leash area has been popular with residents in the Hollis Park neighbourhood for years. You asked for a safer, larger area with better amenities, so we are doubling the size of the fenced zone and adding separate spaces for small and large dogs.

“We want to make sure every dog has a safe place to run, and every owner has a comfortable spot to supervise,” says Maya Chen-Watson, Parks Planner. “The new agility course and wash station are direct results of the conversations we have had with community members over the past year.”

Construction work will take place during regular weekday hours. We will keep the rest of Hollis Park open for your use, but expect some noise and temporary detours near the dog area. You can follow the project on the Service Alerts page.

Once the expansion is complete, the rules and hours stay the same. You must keep your dog under voice control and clean up after it. Visit the Learn about park bylaws and rules page for a full list of guidelines.
