Emergency alerts test scheduled for spring preparedness week

The City of Wrenford will test its emergency alert system during the week of March 24, 2025. This routine check ensures that phone calls, text messages, and emails reach you quickly when severe weather or an emergency strikes.

The Wrenford Emergency Alert Network sends warnings through multiple channels to cover different situations. If you have not yet signed up, you can register your contact information online at Sign up for emergency alerts. Testing helps us verify that every registered number and email address is active and ready to go.

"We want to make sure our communication lines are open and working before storm season begins," said Liam O'Rourke, Community Emergency Management Coordinator. "A successful test means residents get accurate, timely information when it matters most."

You do not need to take any action during the test. You may receive a short phone call, a text message, or an email. Please do not call 9-1-1 or the City’s main line for questions about the test. If you have questions about how the system works or how to manage your notification preferences, visit Emergency preparedness and planning or call 519-555-0100.
