The City of Wrenford's East Wrenford Waste Management Facility opens its seasonal drop-off depot for bulky items on Monday, June 24. The depot will remain open for residential bulky item disposal through Labour Day weekend. Residents can bring large household items directly to the facility at 3500 Concession 4 Road.
During the summer season, the drop-off area accepts items such as old furniture, mattresses, and large appliances. The facility is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Staff will weigh your items and apply the standard weight-based depot fee. If you need more information about accepted materials, you can use the Waste wizard and disposal guide lookup tool.
Before you arrive, please remove any loose cushions or drawers from furniture, and make sure your items are clean and free of hazardous materials like motor oil or chemicals. You must be the property owner or an authorized representative to drop off items. Each resident is allowed up to three bulky items per visit. Remember that residential bulky item pickup service is limited to three items per collection and is available two times per year, so the drop-off depot is a convenient option for larger projects.
"Summer is a busy time for home renovations and yard clean-ups," said Ben Achterberg, Waste Programs Supervisor. "We want to make sure residents have a safe, easy place to dispose of large items responsibly."
