The City of Wrenford is issuing a precautionary boil water advisory for addresses on Larch Heights Drive starting December 1, 2025. This advisory is in place because of a planned repair to a water main on that street. The advisory will remain active until water tests confirm the drinking water meets all safety standards.
Crews will be working on the main to fix a leak. During the repair, the water supply may be interrupted or exposed to outside air, which can introduce contaminants. To keep your family safe, you must boil all water used for drinking, cooking, brushing your teeth, making ice, or washing dishes. Bottled water is also an acceptable alternative.
What you need to do:
Bring tap water to a rolling boil for one full minute. Let it cool before using it. You can use boiled water to water houseplants, but do not use it for drinking. If you have babies or elderly family members who rely on formula or special drinks, follow the same boiling rules. You can also use water purification tablets or a certified home water filter that meets NSF standards.
"Water safety is our top priority," said Patrick Nguyen, Water Operations Manager. "We are making these repairs to keep our system reliable, and boiling the water is a simple step that protects everyone in the neighbourhood while we work."
The advisory will be lifted as soon as lab results come back clear. We will notify affected residents by door-knocker notices, email, and text alerts once the all-clear is given. Normal water use can resume at that time.
