The City of Wrenford will switch on the annual holiday lighting display at Benchlands Lookout Park this Saturday, December 13. Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price and City Manager Robert Eng will be there to flip the switch and welcome you to the festive season.
The ceremony will feature carols, hot chocolate, and a walk through the illuminated trail overlooking the Tamsin Falls. It marks the official start of the holiday season and a shift in focus away from the busy municipal election campaign period. As candidates gear up for the October 2026 vote, check the Municipal elections page for updates. You should also know that all campaign materials must follow the Election sign bylaws and be removed within 48 hours after polls close. While election signs are still legal, the holiday display will officially take over the park for the season.
Dress warmly and bring your own thermoses. Free parking is available in the park lot on Benchlands Drive. Accessible viewing areas will be set up near the lookout so you can enjoy the view safely.
“Benchlands Lookout has been a gathering place for our community for decades, and lighting the falls is a tradition we are proud to keep,” said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. “It is a wonderful way to step away from the campaign trail and celebrate the season with neighbours.”
