The City of Wrenford announces that the Wildrye Splash Pad at Wildrye Park is now open for the season, joining the existing facility at Kingfisher Outdoor Pool for free summer cooling fun. Both splash pads are operating daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. until early September.
The new splash pad at 90 Wildrye Drive features ground-level spray jets, a shaded seating area, and an accessible paved perimeter. It is designed for children of all ages, though parents and guardians must supervise kids at all times.
Visitors should bring sunscreen, hats, and drinking water. Food and glass containers are not allowed in the play zones, and pets must stay on a two-metre leash or remain outside the splash pad area.
"The opening of the Wildrye Splash Pad is a wonderful addition to our neighbourhood recreation network," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "We want every family in Wrenford to have a safe, free place to cool off and play during the hot summer months."
