The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce that the Wildrye Splash Pad will open for the summer season on Monday, June 15. Located in Wildrye Park at 90 Wildrye Drive, the splash pad is a free, water-based recreation feature designed for children and families in the neighbourhood.
The splash pad will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., weather permitting, until Labour Day. Families are encouraged to bring towels, sunscreen, and plenty of water. The area is fully accessible, and there is a washroom facility nearby.
Getting to Wildrye Park is easy. There is ample free on-street parking along Wildrye Drive and the surrounding residential streets. If you are driving from outside the Wildrye neighbourhood, you can review the city's Parking section to make sure you follow the local regulations. For visitors dropping off children or attending a nearby event, check out our visitor parking guide for tips on finding a convenient spot. Please note that street sweeping takes place in the Wildrye area during the spring and summer months, so keep an eye out for the posted signs to avoid a parking ticket.
"We are excited to welcome families back to the splash pad this year," says Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. "It is such a popular way for kids to cool off and play safely outdoors, and we have made sure the area is ready for a great summer of fun."
To keep the splash pad and park in great condition, please remember to clean up after your pets, keep noise levels down for neighbours, and supervise children at all times. If you notice any maintenance issues or have a question about the facility, you can report it through the city's online service request tool.
