The Northgate Aquatic Centre is adding a new series of adult and senior swim lessons this July. These modified lessons are designed for adults of all ages and ability levels who want to improve their water confidence or learn to swim from scratch. Unlike our standard swim classes, these sessions offer smaller group sizes and a relaxed pace. They run every Wednesday and Friday through the end of the outdoor pool season.
Staff will focus on water safety, breathing techniques, and basic stroke fundamentals in a supportive environment. The centre's 50-metre pool and dive tank will host the sessions, with dedicated lifeguards and instructors on the deck.
"We want to make sure every adult in Wrenford feels comfortable in the water," says Caroline Dubé, Recreation Programs Coordinator. "These lessons are a chance to take things at your own pace with dedicated staff support. Whether you are getting back into the pool or trying it for the first time, you will be welcomed."
Residents can register by dropping in at the Northgate Aquatic Centre front desk, or by calling 519-555-0121. Session fees are available on a sliding scale. If cost is a barrier, you can request a fee waiver at the Service Wrenford counter in City Hall. You are welcome to bring a family member or friend to learn alongside you.
