New trail signage installed along Tamsin River pathway

Crews have finished installing new wayfinding and safety signage along the Tamsin River Trail System, a project completed this week to help trail users navigate the 64 km network more safely. The new markers were placed at major trailheads, including those at Riverside Flats Park, Ambrel Lake Park, and Benchlands Lookout Park.

Each sign features a clear map of the surrounding trails, distance markers, and emergency contact information. If you enjoy hiking, cycling, or walking through the Corvid Creek Ravine Natural Area, the updated signs will make it easier to plan your route and stay on the right path. The City also added durable posts at key intersections so the signs can withstand the weather.

"We wanted to make sure everyone feels confident exploring our trails," said Maya Chen-Watson, Parks Planner. "These signs are part of our ongoing commitment to keeping the Tamsin River Trail System safe, clear, and accessible for all users."

Trail users are reminded to follow the Trail etiquette and safety rules while enjoying the network. Keep dogs on a six-metre leash on shared paths, and stay off the grass during wet conditions to protect the trail surface. If you see damaged signs or notice any maintenance concerns along the route, call 311 or visit Report a park maintenance issue to let us know. Our crews check the trails regularly, but your reports help us fix problems faster.
