The City of Wrenford has installed new Pay & Go kiosks at the Downtown Transit Terminal and along the main blocks of Mercer and Tamsin Streets to make paying for on-street parking easier and more reliable for drivers. The kiosks accept coins, credit and debit cards, and Interac debit. They are part of the City's ongoing parking infrastructure modernization project, which aims to replace aging equipment and reduce maintenance issues.
Drivers using the downtown core have several options to pay. In addition to the new Pay & Go kiosks, the City's Wrenford Park mobile app allows instant payment directly from a smartphone. Updated Quick-Park signs at block ends feature QR codes that link directly to the payment portal. Whether you use a kiosk, the app, or the website, you do not need to display a paper receipt in your vehicle.
"We want to give our downtown visitors, shoppers, and workers straightforward ways to pay for parking without fumbling for change," said Noah Feldman, Manager, By-law Enforcement. "These new kiosks are a quick upgrade that works alongside our mobile app and digital signage to keep downtown moving."
The kiosks are active as of today. Parking enforcement officers will begin issuing tickets for non-payment starting Monday, May 20, 2024. Residents who already hold a valid residential or visitor parking permit can park in designated zones without using a pay station.
