On December 3, 2024, Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price announced the City's economic development priorities for 2025 at Wrenford City Hall. The new plan focuses on supporting your existing businesses, attracting fresh investment, and building on Wrenford's strengths in manufacturing, agriculture, and logistics.

The priorities build on feedback from the Downtown BIA and local industry leaders. They aim to strengthen the city's role as a service centre for Southwestern Ontario's farm country while growing the Economic Development team's capacity to help new and established businesses thrive.
Key priorities for 2025 include expanding the New Business Relocation Grant, streamlining the Start a business guide process, and launching a targeted outreach programme for the Downtown business improvement grants. The City will also work with major local employers to support workforce development and promote the housing development grants available to builders who create homes for workers.
"We know a strong, diverse economy is essential to our community's future," said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. "By focusing on high-potential sectors and ensuring we have the right infrastructure and business supports in place, we are setting Wrenford up for long-term success."
You can view the full list of priorities and apply for upcoming funding on the Economic Development page. The City will host two community roundtables in January so you can help shape implementation details.
