The Kingfisher Outdoor Pool is open for the 2024 swimming season. Located at 15 Kingfisher Court, the pool and its splash pad welcome all residents from late June through Labour Day.
Regular hours run from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekends. Morning swim sessions are available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a popular time for older residents who want a quiet swim before the afternoon crowds arrive. You can find more information on senior recreation opportunities and active aging programs on our community website.
The splash pad runs daily from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. when temperatures reach 22 degrees Celsius or higher. Lifeguards are on duty throughout the season to keep all guests safe. We ask that you bring your own towel, swimwear, and water bottle. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase at the poolside stand.
"We are thrilled to welcome everyone back to the water this summer," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "It is a wonderful place for families to cool off and for our older residents to enjoy the morning swim sessions."
Admission fees are $5.00 per person, or $20.00 for a family pass. Children under six enter free. You can pay at the front desk or use the online registration system to buy a season pass in advance. For questions about accessibility features or to request a fee reduction, please call the pool at 519-555-0125.
Stay cool and enjoy the season. Visit the Seniors section of the website for more ways to stay active and connected in the community.
