Advance voting dates set for Wrenford 2026 municipal election

Residents can cast their ballots early for the 2026 municipal election when advance voting runs from Friday, October 23, through Sunday, October 25, 2026. Polls will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at locations across the city. The final day to vote is Election Day, Monday, October 26, 2026, with the same hours.

To vote, you must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen, and living in Wrenford on election day. You do not need a voter card to vote, and you are welcome to cast your ballot at any voting station in the city.

Voting place maps showing every location are available on the voting place map. You can also use the map to find out exactly where your assigned polling station is.

Before you head to the polls, make sure you have the right identification. You must bring one piece of government-issued photo identification that shows your name and current residential address. If you do not have acceptable ID, you can ask another eligible voter at the station to vouch for you. More information about ID rules and vouching is on the election resources page.

"Local elections shape the services and streets we use every day," said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. "I encourage every eligible resident to take part and have their say on the future of Wrenford."

If you are unable to vote in person, special ballot options are available for those who will be away or have accessibility needs. Deadlines apply to request and return these ballots, so plan ahead. Full instructions and forms are on the election resources page.

For a step-by-step guide on what to expect at the voting station, check the election exhibit online, which includes videos and checklists for first-time voters.

If you have questions about the election process, call the Elections Office at 519-555-0100 or dial 311 from a Wrenford phone.
