Advance voting begins October 22 for Wrenford municipal election

Advance voting for the 2026 municipal election begins this weekend. Eligible residents can cast their ballots at designated locations across the city from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25.

Voting stations are open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day. You can vote at any location that is convenient for you, even if it is outside your ward. This year, stations will be open at:

  • Wrenford City Hall, 100 Mercer Street
  • Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre, 400 Benchlands Drive
  • Westbrook Community Arena, 40 Westbrook Drive
  • Ambrel Lake Recreation Centre, 1300 Ambrel Lake Road
  • Centennial Gardens, 5 Victoria Street

What to bring

If you are already registered, bring the voter information card you received in the mail. If you are voting for the first time or need to update your address, you have two options:

  • Option 1: Bring two pieces of identification. Both must show your name. At least one must show your address, and at least one must have your signature.
  • Option 2: Bring one piece of identification and make a solemn declaration in front of an election official to confirm your identity and where you live.

Accessibility and language support

Ballot marking devices are available at all locations to help voters with varying abilities. These devices offer audio instructions, large print, and high-contrast options. If you need help marking your ballot, election officials can assist you. You can also bring a friend or family member to help, but they will need to take an oath of secrecy.

Election officials who speak languages other than English and French will be wearing a tag showing which languages they speak. If your language is not listed, you can ask an official to connect you over the phone to a translator. Instructions are available in large print and several languages, including Chinese, Punjabi, Tagalog, Spanish, and Arabic.

Plan your visit

Use the Wrenford Voting Place Map to find the station closest to you. Before you go, check if you are registered to vote so you know what documents to bring. You can also call 311 or 519-555-0100 for more information.

"We want every eligible resident to have a convenient and accessible way to cast their ballot," says Nadia Kowalczyk, City Clerk. "Our election teams are trained to assist voters and ensure the process runs smoothly at all locations."
