The City of Wrenford is announcing that the Northgate Aquatic Centre will close for the winter season starting November 15. This seasonal closure is part of the standard operating cycle for the city's aquatic facilities.
The centre will remain closed through the winter months and is scheduled to reopen in late May or early June 2024. During this time, the building will undergo routine maintenance and equipment checks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the spring season.
If you are looking for aquatic activities during the closure, you can visit the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre. The leisure centre will host the full schedule for Swim for Life lessons, Swim abilities, and Aqua fitness classes. You can also enjoy drop-in public swims and open swim sessions as usual.
"We want to ensure you have plenty of options to stay active and enjoy the water during the colder months," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "The Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre will see increased programming and staffing to comfortably accommodate our community's needs."
You can register for fall and winter aquatic programs through Wrenford Recreation Online. If you prefer to register in person, staff are available at the service counter during regular business hours.
