The City of Wrenford invites residents to enjoy the annual Lights at the Falls celebration in the Fallsview neighbourhood. The display runs from late November through December and transforms the streets around the Wrenford Falls into a winter wonderland.
Visitors can stroll along Fallsview Road and the nearby walkways to see thousands of LED lights. The event is free and open to the public. Families are encouraged to dress warmly and bring a thermos of hot chocolate. The route is fully accessible, and strollers, wheelchairs, and mobility aids are welcome. Nearby attractions, including the Fallsview Arts Centre, are open for shows and gallery visits while you explore the lights.
"We love seeing our community come together during the holidays," said Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. "It is a wonderful way to spread cheer and mark the season with neighbours and friends."
As crews maintain the display, they are also managing winter operations across the city. The overnight on-street parking ban is in effect from December 1 to March 31, between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. This allows Roads & Winter Maintenance crews to clear snow and apply salt without delay. Please move your vehicle before 2:00 a.m. to keep your street clear for plows. If you need an exemption because of a medical condition, you can apply for a snow route parking ban exemption.
Residents can report missed snow clearing or damaged light fixtures by calling Wrenford 311 or using the 311 mobile app. The app places a pin on your exact location so crews can find it quickly.
