The City of Wrenford is closed for the Christmas holiday on Monday, December 24, and Tuesday, December 25. The Civic Operations Centre at 455 Railside Road will not be open for staff or visitors during these two days.
Most city offices will operate on a shortened schedule before the break. City Hall on Mercer Street will close early at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22. The Downtown Transit Terminal will follow its regular weekend hours on December 23 and 24, and resume normal weekday service on Monday, December 26.
If you need to report a road issue or a water main break, you can still submit a request online or call our after-hours line at 519-555-0111. Visit the Contact page for all phone numbers and email addresses. Crews will respond to active water leaks and safety hazards as soon as they can. For non-urgent road repairs, crews will resume work on Monday, December 26.
"Staff are focused on keeping our roads safe and our water running smoothly through the holiday season," said Samuel Adeyemi, General Manager of Infrastructure and Planning. "We encourage residents to plan any driveway connections, snow zone parking changes, or winter maintenance requests ahead of the break so we can tackle them right away in January."
Residents who need to drop off waste or use the library can still visit the East Wrenford Waste Management Facility and the main library branches over the holiday weekend. Check the Check holiday service hours page for a full list of holiday closures and modified hours for all parks, recreation centres, and city departments.
We wish you and your family a safe and happy Christmas.
