Report a pothole or road issue
If you see a pothole, crack, or damaged road surface in your neighbourhood, let us know. City staff will review your report and schedule a repair. This service is free for all residents and helps keep our streets safe for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
How to report
The fastest way to report a road issue is through Wrenford 311.
- Online: Fill out the Wrenford 311 service request form on our website. You can upload a photo to help our crew find the exact spot and assess the damage.
- Phone: Dial 311 from inside city limits, or call 519-555-0100. Our operators will enter the details for you and give you a reference number.
When you report, please include the nearest street address and a clear description of the problem. Photos are very helpful for our field crews. If you are unsure of the exact address, the nearest cross street or landmark works too.
What happens after you report
Once your report comes in, the Roads & Winter Maintenance team reviews it. We check the severity and decide how quickly we can fix it. Smaller cracks are patched during regular maintenance cycles, while larger potholes that threaten vehicle safety get a quick patch. You will receive an email notification when the repair is complete.
Urgent or emergency issues
If a road issue is blocking traffic, creating an immediate hazard, or involves a downed utility pole or broken hydrant, do not wait for the online form. Call 519-555-0112 during business hours. For emergencies after hours or on weekends, call 911.
Winter road maintenance
During the winter season, we plow residential streets when snow reaches eight centimetres. Main roads are cleared from five centimetres. If you live on a snow zone street, remember the overnight parking ban from December 1 to March 31 so our plows can reach your road. See the Snow zone maps for your neighbourhood.
We also apply a sand and salt mixture to icy areas as weather permits. Please keep your driveway aprons clear so our trucks can access the street safely.
