Ready to give your community garden a head start? Join us on Saturday, October 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Old Mill Urban Garden for a hands-on session on soil preparation. Whether you have a plot in the Corvid Creek Riverside Garden or a small raised bed at home, this workshop will show you how to get your soil ready for a bountiful spring.

We will cover testing your soil pH, adding organic matter, and planning your spring planting layout. Bring your own gloves, a small trowel, and a notebook to take notes. If you have soil samples from your plot, bring them in a bag so we can review them together.

This event is free and open to all community gardeners. No registration is required, but space is limited, so arrive early to find a spot. The garden path is paved and accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. Water stations and washrooms are available on site.
