What this permit covers
Use this service to get approval for a block party, a park gathering, a street closure, or a small outdoor festival in Wrenford. Whether you are planning a neighbourhood cleanup celebration, a children's craft day in a park, or a street fair along Mercer Street, you will need a permit to keep your event safe and legal.
How to apply
You can apply online through the Wrenford Events Portal or in person at the Neighbourhoods Office at City Hall. We ask that you submit your application at least thirty business days before your event date. This gives staff enough time to review your plan, check for conflicts, and arrange any necessary road closures or traffic changes.
What you need to provide
Every application must include a simple site map showing where tables, stages, or vehicles will go. You must also outline your cleanup plan and confirm that all waste will be removed by the end of the day. If your event will block a public street, you will need a signed petition from sixty-five per cent of the affected residents. The City provides public liability and property damage insurance for approved block parties. Note that this coverage does not extend to commercial sales, bounce houses, or liquor liability, so you may need extra coverage for those items.
Fees
Permit fees depend on the type of space and the size of your event. Fees are due at the time of application.
- Park shelter reservation: $50.00
- Street closure permit: $150.00
- Multipurpose room rental: $65.00 per hour (twenty per cent discount for verified non-profit organisations)
Some neighbourhood groups may qualify for a community beautification grant to cover these costs. Visit Community grants to see if you are eligible.
