Apply for a community grant

Learn how local non-profits and community groups can apply for project, operational, or capital funding through the Wrenford Community Grant Program.

About the Wrenford Community Grant Program

The Wrenford Community Grant Program supports local non-profit organisations and community groups that improve the lives of Wrenford residents. We fund projects that match the city's priorities, such as community development, environmental sustainability, arts and culture, and recreation.

Funding Streams

Choose the stream that fits your project. All amounts are maximums and depend on the scope of your work.

  • Project Support Stream: Up to $5,000 for one-time events or pilot programmes.
  • Operational Support Stream: Up to $15,000 for yearly operating costs, like staff wages and supplies.
  • Capital & Equipment Stream: Up to $25,000 for equipment purchases or facility upgrades.

How to Apply

All applications must be submitted through the Wrenford eGrants portal. We encourage you to create an account and save your draft at any time. You can upload supporting documents directly in the system.

Application Deadlines

  • Project Support Stream: Rolling window. Applications are accepted continuously until the annual budget is fully allocated.
  • Operational and Capital & Equipment Streams: March 31. All complete applications must be submitted by this date to be considered for the next funding cycle.

Review Process

Our grants team reviews every application against clear criteria, including community impact, budget feasibility, and alignment with city priorities. You can expect a decision within four to six weeks of the deadline. If you submit a Project Support application during the rolling window, you will receive a response within four to six weeks of your submission date.

Reporting Requirements

Successful applicants must track their spending carefully and submit a final report. You have 30 days after your project ends to submit a completion report and final budget. For Operational Support Stream recipients, an annual report is due every January 31.
