Access community recreation programs

Register for seasonal programs, find drop-in schedules, learn about fee assistance, and verify your Wrenford address for resident pricing.

How to register for programs

Wrenford Recreation offers programs for all ages at our community centres, arenas, and pools. You can register online through the Wrenford Recreation Portal or in person at any recreation facility.

Registration dates change with the season. Mark your calendar:

  • Fall programs open the last Monday of August
  • Winter programs open the first Monday of December
  • Spring and summer programs and day camps open the first Monday of March

Residents get the first chance to register. Non-residents can register one week after the resident window closes.

Drop-in programs and leisure passes

You do not need to register for every activity. Many facilities offer drop-in programs, such as public skating at Westbrook Community Arena and Eastfield Twin Arenas, or fitness classes at the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre. You can also buy a Leisure Pass for unlimited drop-in admission to pools and fitness areas for a set period.

Check the facility hours and drop-in schedules on the Programs page.

Resident verification

To get resident pricing and early registration access, you must verify your Wrenford address. This only takes a few minutes and is done in person at any recreation facility.

Bring one of the following:

  • A valid government-issued photo ID with a Wrenford address
  • A photo ID plus a recent document showing your Wrenford address (like a utility bill or lease agreement)

If your residency is not verified, a 50 per cent non-resident surcharge will be added to all registered program fees. The surcharge does not apply to single drop-in admissions, bulk admissions, or Leisure Passes. If you move, you must re-verify your address in person.

Programs for older adults

We offer several programs designed for seniors to stay active, connected, and healthy.

Silver Hikes

Join our weekly guided walking group on accessible trail sections along the Tamsin River Trail System. The fee is $5.00 per session, which covers trail maintenance and volunteer coordination.

Centennial Adult Day Program

Hosted at the Ambrel Lake Recreation Centre, this program offers social events, health workshops, and cultural activities for older adults. The standard daily program fee is $25.00.

Seniors Activity Fee Assistance

If you are on a fixed income, you may qualify for the Seniors Activity Fee Assistance program to cover or reduce the daily fee for the Centennial Adult Day Program and other recreation activities. Call 519-555-0140 or email [email protected] to apply.

Fee assistance and accessibility

Recreation is for everyone. If cost is a barrier, you can apply for the Recreation Fee Assistance program. Eligible residents can receive up to $500 per year toward program registration and drop-in fees. Apply online or pick up a form at any facility.

Our facilities are built to be accessible. Look for features like zero-depth entry ramps at the Northgate Aquatic Centre, accessible change rooms, and sledge hockey friendly boards at the arenas. If you need an attendant or specific accommodations, contact the Recreation Programs Coordinator at 519-555-0140.
