About accessible transit in Wrenford
Wrenford Transit is committed to getting everyone where they need to go. All of our fixed-route buses on routes 1 to 14 are fully accessible. They feature low floors, kneeling capability, and ramps for wheelchairs and mobility devices. If you have trouble using the regular bus network, you may qualify for Wrenford Access, our specialized door-to-door transit service.
Wrenford Access
Wrenford Access is a shared-ride service for residents who cannot use the regular fixed-route buses because of a disability or medical condition. You do not need a permanent disability to qualify; short-term injuries are also covered.
How to register
Before you can use Wrenford Access, you must complete an application. You can pick up a form at Downtown Transit Terminal or download it from the Accessibility at the City page. A medical professional must sign the form to confirm your eligibility. We process applications within five business days.
How to book a ride
Book your trip at least two hours before you need to leave. You can call 311 inside the city or 519-555-0100 from outside. You can also book online through the Wrenford Transit app. We will give you a pickup window of 30 minutes.
Fares and payment
Wrenford Access fares match the standard adult transit fare. You can pay with a transfer, a day pass, or exact cash. Pre-authorized monthly passes are also available through the Water Billing office.
Rider rules
- Arrive five minutes before your scheduled pickup time. Drivers will wait for three minutes.
- You may bring one personal care attendant at no extra cost. Service animals are always welcome on a leash.
- Drivers cannot enter your home or assist you with carrying mobility devices. Please make sure an attendant is with you if you need physical help.
- Cancel your trip at least two hours in advance. Failing to cancel or showing up late will result in a full fare charge. After three missed rides, your service may be paused.
Accessible bus stops and terminals
The City works closely with the transit agency to make sure every bus stop is safe and easy to reach. We install curb ramps, level boarding platforms, and clear signage. If a bus stop needs repairs or is blocked by snow, report it using Wrenford 311.
Our main hub, the Downtown Transit Terminal, is located at 1 Market Square, Wrenford, ON N4Q 1A2. It is fully accessible and open Monday to Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can reach the terminal desk at 519-555-0114 for fare sales, Wrenford Access booking, or washroom access.
