Getting around Wrenford
Wrenford Transit runs a reliable network of fixed routes, on-demand service, and accessible transport. Whether you are staying downtown or visiting the falls, you can get where you need to go with ease. Check the bus schedules and timetables before you travel, and download the Wrenford Transit app for live arrivals and trip planning.
Getting to and from the airport
The Wrenford Regional Airport is a small regional facility located east of the city. Route 4 (Eastfield to Downtown) and Route 13 (Industrial Park East to Downtown) stop within a short walk of the terminal. For visitors arriving early or late, the 20-series school specials run extended hours on major holidays. You can also take a taxi or ride-share from the arrivals curb.
Fixed routes and on-demand service
Wrenford Transit operates 14 fixed routes that cover the downtown core, neighbourhoods, and major employment areas. Buses run frequently from early morning to late evening, Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, service runs on a reduced schedule. If you are in an area without a fixed route, or you prefer a direct door-to-door ride, book a trip with Wrenford Flex. This on-demand service operates Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. You can book up to 14 days in advance through the transit app or by calling 311.
Fares and passes
A single adult ride on any fixed route or Wrenford Flex costs $3.50. Youth and senior riders pay $3.00. If you plan to travel more than once a day, consider a monthly pass. Adults can choose a 30-day pass for $95.00, a 3-month pass for $270.00, or a 12-month annual pass for $1,050.00. Visitors can also pick up a single-day unlimited pass for $10.00 at the Downtown Transit Terminal or through the transit app. See Transit fares and passes for full details, fare capping, and discount programmes.
Getting to the falls and downtown
Most visitors head straight to the historic core. Take Route 1 or Route 4 to the Downtown Transit Terminal at 1 Market Square. From there, it is a flat, paved walk to the Tamsin River Trail, the Old Mill Museum, and the shops along Mercer Street. The terminal has washrooms, a fare vending machine, and Wrenford Access booking staff.
Biking and walking
Wrenford is very bike-friendly. You can bring a folded bicycle on any bus at no extra charge, and unfolded bicycles are welcome during off-peak hours (before 6:30 a.m. and after 9:30 a.m.). The city maintains a Cycling routes and maps network that connects the airport, downtown, and the river trail. For a scenic ride, follow the Tamsin River Trail System from Riverside Flats Park eastward to Ambrel Lake Park.
