About the programme

The Low-Income Transit Pass programme helps eligible residents afford regular transit. If you qualify, your monthly pass costs just $35.00 instead of the regular $95.00 adult fare. This reduced rate applies to any monthly pass type.

Who can apply

You can apply if you receive one of the following:

  • Ontario Works
  • Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
  • Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS)
  • Housing support through Wrenford Community Housing
  • The Wrenford Recreation Fee Assistance programme

How to apply

The fastest way to apply is to fill out the online form. You can also apply in person at the Downtown Transit Terminal (1 Market Square, Wrenford, ON N4Q 1A2) or Wrenford City Hall (100 Mercer Street, Wrenford, ON N4Q 1A1) if you need help. If you have questions, email [email protected] or call 519-555-0100.

Processing time

Once you submit your application with all required documents, it takes up to 10 business days to process. You will receive an email when you are approved. Missing documents will delay your application.

After you are approved

If you do not have a monthly pass yet, you will need to visit the Downtown Transit Terminal or City Hall to verify your eligibility and purchase your pass. Once verified, you can reload your pass at any City facility, recreation centre, or through the Wrenford Transit mobile app.

If you already bought a monthly pass before you were approved, bring your receipt to the Downtown Transit Terminal. We will refund the difference to your original payment method.

Annual renewal

You must re-apply every year. The application window opens on May 1 and closes on June 30. Passes expire at the end of June. Submit your renewal form early to avoid a break in your service.

Youth applicants

Young people can use this programme, but we ask that a parent or guardian submit the application for them. If that is not possible, youth are welcome to apply with a few extra notes in the application.
